About Our Bible Reading PLan and Podcast
In 2020, while pastoring Bear Point Church in Sesser, IL, Gowdy Cannon had an idea on how interesting it would be to read Psalms 32 and 51 immediately after 2 Samuel 11-12, because David wrote those psalms in real time after those events. From there, the idea blossomed into a reading plan where different Bible passages are read together in one sitting, to marvel at how they connect.
Our approach is simple, yet often undervalued. We can easily see the Bible as a collection of books instead of one huge multi-layered and multi-generational story. This plan desires to help correct that.
